Day 11, still in Redding

We got news today.  The mechanic seemed to think everything was ok.  Richard told the service writer to the Sundial Bridge.  So today I have more pictures and less blog.

I was fascinated with this tree that had obviously fallen down, but had new growth.  The green leaves are branches growing out of the log.  The wood you see snaking along the ground are roots going out to the water.  Pretty cool to me.

Just a picture of Richard taking a picture.  Go over to his blog to check out his pictures.

We came to see the bridge at sunset.  Wasn't too colorful.

Lots of geese along this part of Sacramento River

This lady was dancing on the bridge for about 20-30 minutes.  I thought it was pretty cool.

Before the lights and after the lights.    I'm going to post this now, then spend some time later today figuring how to place pictures better.

Yes, I typed this morning of day 12 because I was toooo tired last night.  Thanks for reading.

  1. You are finding lots of interesting things to take pictures of. Is that a caterpillar in the first photo? Pretty cool colors on it.

  2. Wanted to let you know that the Sundial Bridge and the Turtle Park you went to were just listed as one of the top 10 picnic areas in the West to visit according to an article I read. I thought that was pretty cool!
