It is Day 23. wow

Here we are!  Another change in the itinerary.  We were going to stay at Walmart tonight, but the manager said they don't allow that anymore.  Their city, doesn't.  We are finding that to be true in a lot of Walmarts now.  So staying at a parking lot or campground for free or cheap because there are no hookups is called Boondocking.
Today started with me walking the dogs, like always.  Where we were parked was very quiet, as I said, at a place that we aren't allowed to tell you we were.  It was found on the app called Harvest Hosts.  If you travel, I highly recommend this app.  You find cool places and meet cool people.  Like the produce stand we were at last week.  Well, at RV parks the dogs know they need to walk quickly to the fenced dog run.  This place had fences, but we were to stay out.  Poor Artie kept walking up to it hoping I'd let him in.  He knows he goes off leash in a fenced in area.

If I can't go in that one, how about this one?  Or this one?

This is the nice parking lot, there was a small spot of easy walking dirt.  I think the other problem is there hasn't been dogs around, so there were no good smells.

If there is any sign of leaving Leinen goes straight to the truck.  Even an hour before we leave.  Richard started taking things out early today just to annoy Leinen (and me)

Today's view as we were leaving.

Tastykakes are a PA brand of sweets, like Hostess.  I have never ever seen it outside of PA.  I have seen the factory in Philadelphia, PA.  I bought a chocolate pie, and it says it is distributed out of Philly.

Yea!  We are now parked at an awesome RV park outside of Zion.  The grass is only 2 spots down.  Artie has been licking his paw a lot today.  I've looked at it.  It is red, but not swollen, and not cut.  It is inside, not on the pad.  It seems everything that goes wrong is with Artie.  A few weeks ago his stomach was making very loud noises.  He had a soft stool the next day, but not diarrhea.   He and Leinen spent the short trip in the truck today looking out the window, so I think they like the drive.  Well, Leinen always cries to get in the truck.
Back to the paw.  I have invested in some essential oils.  I'm not completely sold yet, I'm using this trip to see how I like them.  One thing I did was make a roller ball of lavender and fractionated coconut oil for Artie's paw.  Very safe.  I have a friend who sells and uses them and has said how much it has helped her family.  I haven't had the "WOW I can't live without these!" experience, yet, but I'm giving it a good try.

This is just behind our campsite.  We are here for 3 nights.  ahhhhhhhh  I'm in heaven

Tadpoles!

A view
They have a nice pool, but it was crowded with kids today.  Plus they had wine and cheese for adults at 5:30.  Tomorrow it is going to be s'more time.  They have something interesting every night.
Tomorrow we are on to Zion, a day early.
Thanks for reading!  Bridget

  2. Wow, the campground you are at sounds like it is loaded with amenities?! Speaking of oils, another box has arrived...it's starting to look like amazon Christmas...all for the Machidas!

  3. What a lovely campground. Zion is one of my favourite national parks.
