trying again

I hope those 15 people who looked yesterday will come back today.  We have moved on.  We are in Deer Lodge, Montana at at KOA.  Richard's mother was born here.  They lived in a RR boxcar.  I think it is time to read about her mother's life again.  Her nephew wrote one for iBook.

Anyway........the wifi is fair to midlin.

Ok, pictures are posting.  This is the photo taken as we are leaving Mueller State Park.

Rocky Mountains. Buena Vista.
I am really happy that my photos on my iPhone tell me where the pictures are taken or I would not have remembered that these are from Leadville, CO.

All the cute towns with the painted murals and interesting architecture and little shops.  No exploring on this trip.
Here is the Arkansas River.  Kind of small up here.  We are driving along up in the mountains when whomp! we hit an elk.  I took pictures, but I didn't want to post the dead lady on my blog.  She ran in front of us from the right, crossed over the road, changed her mind and came back.  She barely missed a car coming towards us, but ran right into us.  Richard figures she hit the front fender/bumper and went right under the trailer.  No dents or anything on the outside of our vehicles other than this little hair caught.
It is in the middle of the picture between the fender and the plastic.  However, inside the trailer we had these happen:  The table fell over and in the pantry bottles banged together and we lost the pumpkin butter from the Olive Pit.  Sorry, Sandra, that was going to be a gift for you.
Our next stop was the KOA in Craig, CO.  This was really set up nice.  The best part was the free dog wash.  Leinen was getting a little stinky, so he got a bath!

Isn't this a good set up?  Doesn't Leinen look thrilled with the bath?  The problem for me was it was too high or I would have tried Artie, too.

The next day.................

Leaving Craig, Colorado.
