Falls
There were 2 falls that we saw up close. Yosemite and Bridalveil.
There was a small hike to the lower Yosemite falls. Here is what we found.
This first picture is of the rocks at the bottom, where I suppose in the spring is full of raging water. The bus driver joked that if we wanted to see Yosemite Falls to go find a great place to sit and wait 'til November. ha ha ha. I have been playing with my iPhone and ways to add effects. For the picture of the rocks I used the app called Warm. The pic on the right I used Cool. It is the lower falls.
Here is a closeup of the lower falls, see the white line in the middle? That's water. The pic on the right using regular lighting.
Here you see Upper Yosemite Falls. If there is water it isn't noticeable, but I would think something is there because the lower falls has a trickle. My son was here last spring and hiked to the top.
This is Bridalveil Falls. Much more water. Enlarge the pic on the right. I was fascinated with the sun on the top of the falls. I wish I could fly right up there to see what it looks like.
Here we have June vs. October pictures of the same falls from the parking lot. Now to figure out how to get the text below the pictures.

There. Let's see, which one, next? I think I'll do the hotel. It should be short.

These two pictures were taken very close to the same spot. The first one was a year ago last June, the second one was this visit. June vs. October.
I played more with my phone. I found out how to make the water look blurred and how to do loops. I need to figure out how to post the loop pictures.

Here is the hotel from the back. It is beautiful, and is probably $400-600 dollars a night. I should look it up.......yep, one week from tonight-$554.00. I've seen worse.
Get a load of the painting on the ceiling and the stained glass windows!
There were lots of tapestries such as this one enclosed in glass. They probably didn't think of glass in the 20's. Wow-that is about 100 years ago! My Dad was 3 when this opened up.
They had lots of these old secretaries, all looking the same, in the big lounge room. Here's Richard taking a picture of the fireplace that is about 15 feet across. Well, maybe 10. I should have laid down to measure it.
