Yosemite!

Hello!  Doing laundry and the blog.  I'm in the Lodge with free, hard to get, wifi and there is a football game on the TV.  Better than yesterday.  There was a woman who had a Halloween movie on with horrible screeching with the volume up quite loud.  I ended up taking my hearing aides out to type.
OK, laundry done, lunch ate, more pictures taken.  I am currently updating the iPad, air dropping pictures from my phone to my computer, and trying to share something from facebook to my kids.  Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.  Then zoom, it all happens at once!  I see there is good news in Fairbanks.  It has finally had its first snowfall of the season.
Speaking of seasons.....I was disappointed that the trash dumpster on our side of the RV park was closed.  The paperwork they gave me said that it is closed during the winter.  Richard had to tell me it isn't winter here.  Oh, it starts Nov. 1.  lol😂  I just discovered emojis are on the blog spot!  When the choice comes up, though, they look to be the size of a pinhead!
I have a lot of pictures to post, and I don't know how much time it will take to move them from my folder to the blog spot, so this will be done in sections.  The first section of pictures will be what you would expect to see if you visited Yosemite-the normal tourist pictures.

First of all, Yosemite is made up of miles and miles of wilderness.  The main part that most people go to is the Village.  Yosemite Village is in a valley.  Big rocks and waterfalls are on both sides of the beautiful valley.  It is an hour's drive into the park on long, narrow, windy roads before you see what most people go in to see. My first picture is just a picture of some of those rocky hills/mountains seen from the parking lot in the main part of the village.  Last time we were here there was absolutely no parking.  The picture on the left is the top of the famous Yosemite falls.  They are really, really tall.  However, as you can see in this picture, today they are dry.

After our nice half mile walk to the falls I catch Richard taking a picture of a telephone.  I'm taking pictures of rocks, leaves, falls, mountains, and he takes a picture of a phone.    The next picture over is half dome rock.

We were fortunate to have enough time this trip to drive an hour up to the top to Glacier Point.  Definitely worth the trip.  Definitely worth the trip.  There are more pictures later from this vantage point.  The next pic is a view of El Capiton and half dome through the windshield.  I got very nice pictures last time, so we didn't stop.

Here's another one of El Capitan and the falls in this picture is Bridalveil Falls.  Last time I was here I didn't make it to this picture spot because there was a large group of teenagers in the way.  And the falls were so strong me and the dogs got soaked before reaching this spot.

This will be the end of this post.  More details of fall, falls, rocks, and other topics coming soon.
